If you haven't already heard about us, we would like to introduce ourselves! The Camp Connection is an advisory service that assists families in selecting sleepaway summer camps for their children. We are SUMMER CAMP MATCHMAKERS!! For those of you who are looking for sleepaway summer camps We are an objective source of information. Our emphasis is on Sleepaway Camps, Teen travel and Pre-College Programs. We have been providing our service to families in your community for 27 years. We represent over 600 sleepaway summer camps predominantly in the Northeast. Programs represented include traditional sleepaway summer camps, specialty sleepaway summer camps (sports, arts, weight reduction, special needs, riding, etc), teen tours(x-country and int'l), pre-college programs(for enrichment and college credit), Community service(national and int'l sites). Camps vary from 1-9 weeks in stay, and cost between $450 to $1400 per week.
Teen programs vary in price depending on length, location and content. Each camp has been personally visited by or staff when in session. We make note of facility, staffing, maintenance, programming, and other criteria applicable for the population it represents.
The Camp Connection is FREE of charge to families. We work like a travel agent for sleepaway summer camps. There is never a fee or obligation to parents who use our service to look for sleepaway summer camps . All a parent has to do is call our office and speak to a consultant. All of our camp consultants are parents themselves, who have had children in camp, and can talk the talk to clients. The concept of sending a child away for the first time can be very frightening. We pride ourselves on having the skills to offer comfort and expertise to parents new to sleepaway summer camp search process! During a phone interview, we speak at length to parents about their childs' interests and their interest for all children going to sleepaway summer camps. Consideration is also given to length of time parents want their children to spend at sleepaway summer camps and the tuition range being considered. During our phone conversations, parents are given a brief description of each sleepaway summer camp program that the counselor deems appropriate for them to consider. With permission, camp brochures and videotapes or DVD's are then forwarded to the family by each specific sleepaway summer camps.
Our specialty is putting families on the road to visit camps for the following summer's placement. Not only do we make info available through our usual phone interview process, we take it a step further. We will provide a ‘trip pak' to families that plan on visiting camps during the summer to see them up and running and filled with happy campers and activity. The Trip Pak includes a map with directions from camp to camp, recommendations on places to stay, suggested questions for parents to ask directors while visiting with them. This too, is all FREE of charge to families.
